Thomasville French Country Parquet Dresser, Mirrors & Cabinet; Mint 1960's
Exceptionally nice set of Thomasville French Provincial style bedroom furniture. A long nine-drawer dresser with two mirrors, that can be mounted on the piece or hung on the wall. The gentleman's cabinet has two upper drawers that open to reveal an open storage space at the top over four drawers. The lower section has two drawers. Made in the late 60s, early 70s - when Thomasville's offerings included higher-end pieces like these. Absolutely on par with Drexel and Henredon pieces of that period. Beautifully veneered doors and tops in a parquet style pattern. Carved details on both. The drawers have heavy fronts, and the sides and back are heavy solid oak with dovetailed corners.
In immaculate condition. The dresser and mirrors are exceptional and the dresser's top is mint - it literally looks unused. The cabinet is the same. The shelf and drawer interiors are all clean and without staining. One small bit of veneer off the top front left-hand corner of the cabinet, but not visible unless you're almost 7' tall as it is literally on the top, nowhere on the face of the chest. Non-smoking, no pet home.
Measurements: The dresser is 78" wide, 21" deep and 32.5" high. The mirrors are 22" wide and 53" tall. The gentleman's cabinet is 75" tall. The cornice is 42.5" wide and 20" deep. The upper cabinet is 39" wide and 18" deep. The base is 40" wide. The base's top is 42" wide and 20" deep.
