PAIR* Of Carved Bookcases By Hooker Furniture; Leather Panels & Paw Feet
Striking pair of dramatically carved bookcases by high-end maker Hooker Furniture. Free standing, raised on paw feet. The base has a single drawer with two Rococo style handles set on a leather panel. The corners are curved, with a series of stylized laurel leaves descending from a floral motif. The top has a stepped cornice, over a carved frieze that tops the opening. The skirt below the drawer has a similarly shaped carved detail. The sides have an inset panel of leather, with an antiqued gold edge. Each of the four removable shelves is adjustable - there are three positions for each shelf. The shelves are finished on both sides, as well as all sides. This allows them to be turned over and front to back for equal wear. Exceptional condition. No issues, little to no wear. 
Measurements: 82" tall. It measures 46" wide at the cornice, and the central portion is 42.25" wide. It is 44" wide at the feet. It is 16" deep at the cornice and the case is 14.5" deep. Each shelf is 39.25" wide, and 12.5" deep.
