The needlepoint cover on this stool is probably a replacement; it looks to be
in excellent, clean condition. It's attached with dome-headed upholstery tacks
that are all present and in excellent condition.
The colors of the wool are dark blue (background), 3-4 shades of green, light
blue, yellow, gold, 3 shades of rose red, pink with 2 shades of burgundy and
white.
The wood is hardwood-- probably either mahogany or walnut and it has its
original finish.
There is a 1" long flake or slice broken away from the top (inside) of one
leg. I've taken detail photos of this area so that you may see that it doesn't
show.
It's a sturdy, weighty footstool and very attractive.
Measures about 9" x 13" and 9" tall.
Weighs 2 lbs., 2 oz..
