Offered for sale is a pair of Chinese antique embroidered Qing Dynasty silk sleeve bands. Each band is a mirror image of the matching piece. These were originally made to be decorative borders on the sleeves of a woman’s robe. They have been detached from the garment and can be framed separately or stitched together as a single piece. The embroidery is of the highest quality with satin stitch silk floss and small sections with Peking knot stitch. 
The scenes depict beautifully dressed women and men in a garden setting with flowers, lattice work fences and open pagodas.  
The off-white silk satin background has some faint signs of soil along the edges. However, the embroidery itself is in perfect condition.
