A very old antique handcarved-handpainted-wood marionette-puppet from S.E. Asia.  Likely Burmese -- pre-WWII -- from textiles, style of clothes and fabric-condition -- which is faded & one leg of the pants has a rip. The marionette itself is a work of art -- most expressive -- and because each part from head and mouth to hands to knees to fingers -- is articulated -- it seems

The hair is carved, the face is beautiful and the feet knock me out with hand-carved painted traditional shoes.  A very "alive" -- somewhat worn (textiles) -- piece for a collector or to use as a folk-art or wall-hanging.  Height is 27" Width is `12".
