This mortar and pestle set are made of brass. The holder is inscribed
ANGKLUNG on one side and KOTAGEDE on the other side. It has two pestles. The
smaller pestle does not come out smoothly (maybe not original piece), but it
does come out and goes back in. Bigger pestle comes out fine. The holder
stands on small legs. The engraving are possibly flowers (poppies?) and curly
engravings. The mortars are differently engraved from each other and the
holder. It is a total of 5 pieces. The holder stands about 5" tall, 3 1/2"
long, and about 1/2" wide. I tried to get all the angels and close up shots to
truly see how neat this piece is.
Overall, it is a really great conversation piece.
“No dents or dings. Look at pictures closely as mortars may not originally came with pestle holder.”: “No dents or dings. Look at pictures closely as mortars may not originally came with pestle holder.” |
